Bio
Originally from Ontario, Canada, and then Alberta for University, Nanani is now currently living and working in Osaka, Japan, as a CIR where she spends all of her free time stalking around for Jrock stuff and manga goods. Life here is pretty sweet.
She is now a professional! fangirl, with the habit of dropping signaficant amounts of money on Laruku related purchases, up to and including train tickets to get to lives halfway accross the country world. She is also very trilingual, and enjoys mixing and matching her tongues, especially with the intent of making bad puns. Most of these puns are incomprehensible to non-Nananis, but that's never stopped her before...

Before adding me to MSN/AIM, read this

While This journal is public, my MSN and other messenger lists are NOT. Yes, the information is public viewable, but this is not an invitation to add me. Here are three simple things to consider before adding me :

1. Do I have any reason to know who you are?

If we have never interacted before, odds are I don't know you and therefore am not interested in having you on instant messenger. Your reading my writings is not interaction. If you want to comment or ask about something I've written and posted, there are already three other ways of doing that : comment on the piece itself (via LJ, Pieces, my website), PM me on Pieces, or Email me. I will not bite your head off for asking a question that way. However, if you add me to MSN just to ask a simple question, I will certainly block you, possibly after ripping you to shreds.

2. Can we communicate?

I am trilingual, in English, French, and Japanese. If you cannot communicate clearly in at least one of these, don't bother adding me. Even if you can read English fine, but can't write it clearly, don't waste time adding me. I do not want to have to figure out what you mean. If you need a long time to translate your thoughts into a language I understand, stick to email rather than drag me into a frustratingly slow conversation. No offense to speakers of other languages, but I do not want you on my messenger contact list.

3. Do we have anything to talk about?

I am not interested in teaching you Japanese. Read my weekly columns for that. I do not want to be your language practice buddy. I do not want to be your new friend. If you want to request something of me, do it politely through email rather than annoy me through MSN. Also, as much as I love my various fandoms, there is more to my life than any one of them. I am not interested in discussing them endlessly with you.

There. Yes, it's harsh, but that's how it is. Get to know me some other way before adding me to MSN. Disregard this message and you will be insulted.
